The very clear majority - of course you can not sell illegal things like drugs, sales pyramidal or stolen property. Almost everything is on the list because there is no law against the sale. Some reasons are, but a little strange.

The words "signed articles, for example, does not mean you can not sell something signed - it simply means that you can not sell if it comes with a certificate of authenticity. The term "artifacts" which prohibits the sale of the Native American Graves, "material" star means that you can not sell unauthorized photos of celebrities, "embargo" means that you can not sell something that comes from Cuba ...
